Theater For Changemakers

Dates: February 14th, 2021 - April 11th, 2021

This class will occur Sundays from 1:30pm - 3:00pm on Zoom.

Grades: 5th - 8th

Cost: $300  (Financial aid is available.)

Does your middle schooler have a lot to say? We have the perfect platform for their voice to be heard!

In this class, students will explore the world of interactive theater and discover the ways performance can positively impact a community. Through conversations with other young activists, observing inspirational theater around the country and beyond, and the application of essential acting technique, these teens will devise a passion project of their own. Students will meet weekly to create a plan and put it into action, proving what we at Humbug already know to be true: middle schoolers can make a difference.

*This class project will meet Montgomery County SSL learning standards and be eligible for volunteer hours.
